Call for Boycott Against Tumblr on Neglectful Actions Regarding Harrassment and Suicide Notices
The call for Boycott Against Tumblr made by @lavahag is one I will be attending. But it also gave me a great idea of my own.

Now, my reason for this.
Last night, I stayed up the entire night because of good friend of mine had posted that she had become suicidal. This person lives overseas. A number of us stayed up trying to find a way to report the situation. During that search, we found out on the National Lifeline website that Tumblr no longer sees or responds to any reports of imminent self-harm, self harm, or imminent suicide. On top of that, there is absolutely no resource or recourse whatsoever for those that are in the United States, and trying to report a situation like this for someone that’s on the other side of the world.
On top of that, I have spoken to other Tumblr users and found out that the @staff similarly ignores any reports of harassment against its users.
This in its entirety, is absolutely unacceptable.
There are two things I want to see happen regarding Tumblr’s lack of care regarding harassment and suicides.
1) Tumblr needs to hire people to monitor harassment, as well as to connect those who are suicidal to professional help.
2) Regarding the second topic, they definitely need to be held accountable for their lack of support, and a network must be established so that US people can report suicides outside of the country. That way, this situation doesn’t happen again. We were lucky that the person made it though the night. It could have easily gone the other way, all because of a lack of support, resources, caring and manpower. (My thanks to @lukas-the-pk for bringing up this valid point.)
I call for a complete boycott against Tumblr, starting Friday September 1st, 2017, and Lasting until the morning of September 8th, 2017. That’s roughly seven days.
To let everyone know, I have spoken with the one who called for the original boycott, and this will be working in conjunction and cooperation with hers.
I definitely encourage filling up your queues beforehand, demanding changes of the staff on these issues, as well as the condoning of the white supremacy and hate speech.
I also strongly suggest getting a hold of the advertisers and letting them know that they are advertising on a website that not only condones Neo-Nazi, white supremacy speech, but also stand idly by while their own bloggers are in danger of suicide.
Get as much publicity as possible on both boycotts, and that includes going to the press.
Please reblog this, not just for signal-boosting, but also those of you that are going to attend.

Need to remember this…not all calories are made equal
This is actually really, really scientifically not correct. Calories are calories. Of course it’s better to have the item with more nutritional value. But you won’t gain more weight eating something unhealthy as long as it’s the right amount of calories. There’s been studies done on this, experiments using McDonald’s as the sole food a person ate but within a certain calorie limit. Didn’t gain weight.
Thankyou!! I was about to go crazy because it’s just not true and I’m glad I found someone that’s obvious a bit more educated on it think the same.
If you only eat 800 cals of chocolate your still gonna lose because you naturally burn more than that. No matter whether they are good or bad cals, if you are eating less than you burn, then you’ll lose. The only difference is that the calories will benefit your bodies in different ways.
Also yes you can eat 2000 cals of fruit. But if you don’t burn a degree of those cals they will still be stored as fat/energy reserves because they are still units of energy no matter the way you spin it.
In short. Don’t believe everything you read on tumblr. Half of it is bullshit. Research this stuff PROPERLY. Learn about what you’re doing to your body and stay safe.

i just made this blog and need more people to follow.
ok i just have to share this recipe with you guys. i made vegan low cal pancakes and theyre so insanely good
I took ¼ cup flour (mines the 365 brand and its 83 cals per ¼ cup)
¼ cup cashew milk (its like almond but its 25 calories)
and if you arent vegan, you can add a normal egg white but i used bobs red mill egg replacer, for an entire egg its 30 calories but for just an egg white its 15
then i added 2 tsp of baking powder which is 0 cals.
i also added a tiny bit of stevia vanilla extract (0 cals) and that was my sugar
i combined it all together and you can add whatever else you like, i did blueberries and cinnamon which id recommend. but the entire recipe is 105 calories and it made me 3 big super thick pancakes
Feeling upset you “only” lost 5 pounds?
Grab a cheap 5 pound bag of kitty litter (or anythings that add up to 5 pounds) and throw it in a backpack. Strap that sucker on and clean the kitchen, do the laundry, go for a walk, whatever you want!
When you’re done, take that sucker off and instantly feel how heavy it was. It made you work a little bit harder. It feels good to take off the backpack.
That’s how your joints, heart and lungs feel for every ounce of extra weight you take off of your body. Your body will never ever be upset when you take care of it well. It’s the brain that gets caught up in time line goals and numbers and scales. Remind your brain how heavy 5 pounds is, and how amazing you are for taking care of yourself.
I didn’t lose 194 pounds. I lost 1 pound 194 times.

Here’s how. According to Washington state University, to maintain your weight if you are inactive you need (your weight)× 13-14 calories a day. Now, if you’re moderately active you need (your weight)× 15-16 calories a day. Now, if you’re very active, they recommend (your weight)×18 calories a day.
Please, stay healthy and safe. Please don’t fast for more then 3 days. You don’t have to eat 3-5 meals a day, but the goal is to be skinny, not dead. And, Unless you are a rapist, you’re beautiful and deserve life.
